Aïkiou Dog Bowl and Game

Who says you can’t play with your food! The Aïkiou (IQ) is a unique food bowl with many compartments for hiding food or treats. The Aïkiou will keep your pet busy during mealtimes, turning the wheel and opening several sliding doors to hunt for the food hidden below! The hunt will help slow down your dog’s eating, which may improve digestion. The bowl can also be used as an interactive boredom-buster that you’ll both enjoy. Simply hide food rewards in the compartments and encourage your dog to find them!

KPCT President Aaron Clayton’s dog, Tucker, digs the Aïkiou. Aaron says, “Tucker normally gulps his food. He is, after all, a Labrador. The puzzle nature of the bowl slowed him down. He even stopped before his entire meal was gone, and went back later when he discovered there was more! I think that a dog that grazed dry food all day would especially enjoy the hunt aspects of the Aïkiou bowl. I used the bowl with treats, too, and it worked well. I also liked that it’s easy to place the food in open containers if you don’t want to make a meal a ‘puzzle meal’.”
